RESTAURANTS

The thing about Las Vegas is that it’s overcrowded with everything!

There’s chain restaurant after chain restaurant with unfortunately only a couple of diamonds in the rough.

All of the Nevada-Style Taverns are open 24/7, so you can always get food, and it’s not bad food, it’s just more “American” style or comfort food and the prices are reasonable.

MARKETS

Mind that Vegas is in the desert, which requires a lot of sources from the “outside”, which causes a lot of supplies to be bought above the average price.

So, while some groceries will cost more than usual, you’ll definitely find some supermarkets and groceries that cost more or less the same as everywhere.

TRANSPORTATION

The hotel casinos are close enough to each other to make walking a valid option: it really is no trouble to walk along Las Vegas Boulevard and it will cost you nothing.

Buses can be an inexpensive option too, especially if you’re just traveling up-and-down the Strip, or to-and-from downtown.

One of the easiest ways to get around is by taxi which is also relatively cheap.

UTILITIES (MONTHLY)

Taking into consideration basic monthly utilities like electricity, water, heating, and cooling, it all amounts to around 180$ a month, which is affordable for a normal-sized apartment of about 85m2.

The internet access is good but very expensive costing close to 85$ per month.

SPORTS & LEISURE

Las Vegas can’t really boast of having too many natural resorts for practicing sports outside but there are many, many options for staying fit and practicing sports indoors, like gyms or fitness clubs.

So, if you’re more of an indoor person, you can become a member of a gym or fitness club for around 23$.

CLOTHING & SHOES

There are many shopping malls that have nothing to do with casinos while, at the same time, many of the larger casinos include high-end shopping areas with designer stores.

There are many open-layout centers that are quite nice.

Here, you can buy quality jeans for around 48$, and running sneakers for only 73$.

RENT PER MONTH

There are many areas with custom multi-million dollar homes, especially on the west side but there are also many modest homes that don’t cost several million dollars.

If you want an apartment in the center of Las Vegas, count on paying around 1,409.31$, and for a bigger apartment (if you have a family), add another 600$ to that.
