If you love unique finds, impeccable taste, and a bit of a whimsical flair, then the Beehive State is a must for you!

Here are the top 10 best flea markets and thrift shops in Utah.

The 10 Best Flea Markets in Utah

Urban Flea Market

Looking for the hippest market downtown?

Salt Lake City (SLC) features a year-round market in the heart of the city called the Urban Flea Market, open just once a week on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In the summertime, I love to head over after morning to the outdoor farmer’s market nearby at Pioneer Park!

There is plenty to find amidst the tables of nostalgic treasures and trinkets, and the building is always buzzing with happy visitors eager to find a great deal.

As one of the biggest flea markets in the county, Urban Flea Market has plenty of stalls to browse.

A $3 admission is your ticket to Star Wars memorabilia, vintage gardening tools, or unique artwork!

Redwood Swap Meet

If you are a thrifter who also loves a good movie, this is the location for you!

The Redwood Swap Meet is open on the weekends year-round, featuring colorful tapestries, yummy snacks, and perhaps even your next favorite pair of leather cowboy boots.

A staple in the Salt Lake community, the Redwood Swap Meet has long been a place for locals to share their hobbies, vintage goods, and repurposed treasures.

My favorite way to start off a day at the swap meet is by grabbing an elote to munch on as I browse the colorful stands.

Then, my friends and I go to the other side of the park to enjoy a popular movie under the stars after some successful shopping.

The drive-in theater is always packed and shows a mix of new releases and classics.

You will not want to miss this experience!

Salt Lake’s Indoor Swap Meet

If you’re like me, then you’ve always got a bit of wanderlust!

The Salt Lake Indoor Swap Meet is your ticket to the world.

This lively market is incredibly diverse and hosts vendors from several countries.

This is perfect for those looking for an experience outside of the typical thrifting scene.

Oftentimes you will see flags or art from all over the world hanging on the walls, and you are sure to encounter some of the nicest people you could ever meet in this mall-style swap meet!

Shoppers will find jewelry, clothing, and household items in addition to baked goods and snacks.

Families love to visit, and many come on the weekends to enjoy live music.

If you are lucky, you might be there when they clear away some of the tables and stalls for dancing!

Green World Thrift Market

When it comes to a Utah winter, the temperature might be freezing, but the fashion finds are always hot at Green World Thrift Market.

Take a break from the snow to visit this hip shop.

It is open from Monday through Friday for those who have a sharp eye for the perfect vintage piece.

Especially popular with the college crowd in Utah, this store has everything from Utah Jazz finds to cottage-core looks!

It also boasts bins of stylish shoes, purses, and even cameras and cassettes.

Everyone will find something to love at this local favorite!

And, if you are lucky to stop by on a Monday, you can enjoy the weekly $1 sale!

Everything found with a pink tag can be yours to take home for less than the price of a soda.

You can check out sneak peeks of their collection on their Instagram, but be prepared–these pieces sell out fast!

The Other Side Thrift Boutique’s Dollar Bins Market

You have seen the viral TikTok videos… and now it is time to check out this insanely popular event in person.

Utah locals look forward to every announcement from The Other Side Thrift Boutique about this amazing outdoor market.

Known simply as “Dollar Bins,” this highly attended event features bin after bin of name-brand clothing all being sold for one dollar each.

Shop ‘til you drop and sip on an iced coffee from the Tiny Oak Coffee truck. Also, check out the well-curated furniture pieces inside the boutique next door.

Proceeds help support The Other Side Academy, a non-profit aimed at “addressing the problems of homelessness, criminal behavior, and long-term addiction through 2.5-year residential life skills and training program for men and women.”

You know what they say, shopping for a cause is always in fashion!

Park Silly Sunday Market

Calling all outdoors lovers!

If you are visiting Utah, a market in the mountains is a must.

My favorite place to visit in the summertime is Park City, home of the Park Silly Sunday Market.

This is the place to enjoy a yummy drink as you shop with the beautiful Utah mountains as your backdrop.

Known for its high-end shopping and abundance of restaurants, Park City also kicks off each summer season with an outdoor market that residents and visitors of all ages can enjoy.

For four months each year, the historic Main Street is packed with fresh foods, local art, and curated pop-ups of goods to thrift.

Whatever your interests, you are sure to find something you will love!

Psst… after a fun day of shopping, I would recommend ending with a delicious ice cream cone from the famous Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Rockin’ Robin’s Re-Nest

Are you a Gilmore Girls fan?

Do you love small-town vibes that make you feel unbelievably cozy?

Then picture this–a quaint antique shop that all the locals just cannot seem to get enough of, nestled in the Hallmark-Esque town of Vernal, Utah.

Sounds like your scene?

Then you will love Rockin’ Robin’s Re-Nest.

Cottagecore vintage is the theme in this little thrift boutique.

Here, you will find plenty of quilted, gingham, and embroidered pieces that will have you wanting to have a summer picnic near a river as soon as possible.

There are several handmade items paired with vintage finds, and if you are looking for a statement piece of furniture, you’re sure to find one here.

Their displays are always fun and colorful, and I especially love this shop for unique holiday pieces that you cannot find anywhere else.

Hoodoo Hill Flea Market

Newer on the Utah thrift scene, the Hoodoo Hill Flea Market is 20 acres and features handmade goods, beautiful crystals, garden ornaments, vintage clothing, and more.

Aiming to support local restaurants and artists, the vendor lineup always features new names and excited faces ready to share their goods.

For those who like a bit of a whimsical, witchy flair, check out the beautiful jewelry.

They sell cleansing crystals and carved collections of runes among the more traditional items, adding some magic to the experience.

Many artisans bring their tools with them to craft a one-of-a-kind piece right before your eyes as you shop under the warm summer sun.

This is my pick for beautifully unique wood, wool, and stone pieces!

There is truly something for every kind of collector here.

Check out their website for updated market dates so that you can be sure to visit over the summer and early fall.

Urban Renewal

If you have got the red rocks and famous national parks in Southern Utah down on your travel list, you might want to add this hot spot as well.

Open all week long starting at 10 in the morning, Urban Renewal focuses on bold pieces that make a statement.

Find anything from leather chairs to classic cowboy hats in this St. George shop.

The selection at this thrift boutique is so popular, that even Las Vegas residents make regular trips to check out the fun and unique treasures.

Whether you are wanting to stock up on goods or are simply interested in eye-catching displays, Urban Renewal has got you covered.

The American Rust Company

If cars, bikes, and classic Americana are more your thing, you will find that The American Rust Company will quickly become your go-to place.

Open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, this shop is run by a team passionate about running an antique store with an artist’s eye.

Walking through the store will feel like you’ve gone back in time as you explore the various vintage posters, repurposed furniture, and collection of biker clothing.

You can often find a good leather piece as well!

The staff is always eager for a good chat about music, cars, and the good ol’ days.

Proud to boost “mantiques,” which include WW2 replicas, tin toys, and masculine items you will not be able to find anywhere else in the state.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time of the year to travel to Utah for flea market shopping?

Choose to visit Utah in the spring and summer for the best weather, but summer is when the most flea markets are open.

This includes the biggest flea market in the state, the Urban Flea Market, which is only open for four months out of the year, corresponding with the summertime.

But any time is good for indoor thrift store shopping with flea market finds!

You will get all of the flea market deals and items you want at the used goods stores in Utah.

Specialty finds and typical trash to treasure, expect to see plenty of souvenirs and state memorabilia.

In fact, I get the best stuff to take back with me as souvenirs when I visit my family out of state.

As a college student living in Salt Lake City, the keepsakes include collectible shot glasses and refrigerator magnets, which are typically really pricey.

Buying these at flea markets for holiday gifts and for hostesses at parties is super fun!

What should I bring with me when I go flea market shopping in Utah?

Considering how hot and dry the climate is in the summer in Utah, pack plenty of water, food, sunscreen, and shaded clothing.

This will help you keep your cool while you shop at the large, outdoor flea markets without any air circulation or indoor air conditioning.

After all, heat exhaustion is no joking matter!

Get on board with flea market shopping with your own totes, too, and maybe a wagon.

Who knows?

You might see that giant sculpture or a mini-fridge, or perhaps a pineapple the size of a small child that needs your home.

Set yourself up for buying anything with the use of a rolling collapsible cart to carry those hauls.

How do I know what to look for at flea markets in UT?

The easiest way I have found items at flea markets in UT is by checking out their online stores.

Almost every flea market open these days has an online landing page, at a minimum, talking about what they sell.

You will also find flea markets on Facebook, where tons of people flock to talk about the latest prizes they have found in shopping at flea markets.

See what is being sold most frequently on their social media.

Then, check out the websites of flea markets to discover if they have a list of their items online.

You might even be able to shop online, or you can email a dealer or vendor and have them hold an item for you that you are keen on.

This is a great way to make the most of your flea marketing shopping experience!

Save time and reduce wear and tear on your vehicle by having to hunt down items at flea markets across the state.
