1. Ratchada Train Market

Ratchada Train Market is a vibrant, urban flea market that is located in Bangkok, Thailand, right in front of Central World.

The market operates seven days a week from 10 am to 10 pm.

Quite possibly considered to be the leading flea market in the city, it is clear when you first arrive that the theme of this market is squarely based on having fun. 

The layout of the flea market is well thought out.

One notable thing about the layout of the market is how presentable and clean it is, despite attracting thousands of visitors a week.

There are a plethora of stalls selling fashion brands of clothing, shoes, and accessories.

There are usually huge discounts on the previous season’s clothing. 

In addition, there are a sufficient number of food stalls and restaurants.

The food is exceptionally good and the market constantly receives high praise for the quality of the food as well as the variety. 

There are several stalls that sell fruit and vegetables.

Some would even say that the produce sold at the flea market is fresher than that sold in supermarkets.

For those that love drinking beer, you may enjoy the beer sold here!

If you plan to visit the market on a warm day, remember to take your sunscreen and hat with you!

2. SWU international flea market

SWU international flea market is located in Watthana, Bangkok, and operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 am to 2 pm. 

This flea market is mostly known for its large variety of food vendors that sell delicious, ready-to-eat food.

But food isn’t the only thing that you can purchase here.

There are plenty of stalls that sell fashionable clothing, shoes, children’s toys, jewelry, and accessories.

You can stock up on your weekly produce and even buy fresh seafood from the vendors. 

You can take the escalator to the next level, where you will find a food court with delicious food that is very inexpensive.

This is another great, well-laid-out flea market that is very neat and clean.

In addition, the market has bathroom facilities.

Keep in mind that the vendors change all the time and you may not always find the same vendors on any two days. 

Another important factor to keep in mind is that the flea market is in an open area under direct sunlight.

Most stalls do have a canopy, but much of the market is exposed to direct sunlight and it can get pretty hot here.

You may want to bring a hat or umbrella with you. 

3. Suvarnabhumi Flea Market

Suvarnabhumi Flea Market is a market located in Bangkok, Thailand.

The market is open seven days a week from 4 pm to 9:30 pm.

This market is a mixture of country style mixed with Bangkok style. 

If you are looking for some exceptional Thai street food, then you may want to give this flea market a visit. 

But plan to come after 5 pm as food is usually prepared in the late afternoon.

From around 7:30 pm, most of the vendors will start to give discount prices on the food.

The only problem with this is that most of the food has been sold out and there is a limited variety. 

You may notice that there is sufficient space between vendor stalls and traffic is never exceptionally busy.

This gives off the impression that the market has a lot of space and does not feel overcrowded.

Which is great!

Much of the merchandise sold here is knock-off brands.

So do not be fooled into thinking you’ve purchased an original Louis Vuitton bag, it is more than likely a fake.

In addition, the name of the game is bargaining.

If you do not bargain, you may lose out on some great deals.

The market sells clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and some electronics.

Some of the items are pre-loved and souvenirs. 

It will take approximately an hour to make it from one end of the market to the other. 

4. At One Market

At One Market, located in Bangkok, Thailand, is open seven days a week.

Over the weekends, the market is open for 24 hours, and from Monday through Friday, the market is open from 5 am to 2 pm.

You will find a great selection of food and clothing stalls at this flea market.

One of the first things that you will notice about this market is the absolutely amazing selection of Thai street food and seafood.

The smell of freshly grilled fish permeates the air as you stroll from one stall to the other.

The food is freshly made and most of the stalls are very inexpensive. 

All ingredients are lined up on display and visitors simply point to the ingredients they would like to add to their food.

The food is then cooked to order and you simply don’t get it any fresher than this. 

In addition, there is live music to entertain the shoppers as they hunt for their next bargain.

5. Chillva Market

Chillva Market is located in Phuket, Thailand.

The market operates from Monday through Saturday, from 5 pm to 11 pm.

This outdoor market is well run and exceptionally neat.

You’ll find anything from clothing, shoes, jewelry, and souvenirs to freshly made, authentic Thai food here.

Something to keep in mind about this market is that it is more aimed at Thai residents than tourists.

In addition, since it is an outdoor market, you may want to be cognizant of the weather, especially during the rainy season. 

There is a beer garden with plenty of available seating.

The market features a live band that entertains visitors while here.

There is a very authentically Thai atmosphere in this market that is both trendy and contemporary. 

The prices are fair and it’s easy to access the market via motorbike.

Plan to spend at least an hour shopping and more if you are sitting down to eat. 

6. Z-ONE Night Market

Z-ONE Night Market is a night market operating seven days a week from 5 pm to 12 am in Lopburi, Thailand. 

This is a mixture of an indoor/outdoor market that features ample seating for visitors in the courtyard and on the terrace.

Freshly made Thai cuisine permeates the air as the local folk band sets the mood.

It is a happy, vibrant market that features some of the best that Thailand has to offer.

The market is primarily focused on food, but there are also various other stalls selling all sorts of clothing, shoes, accessories, handbags, and a lot more.

If you have heard of, but never tried Durian fruit, this is the place to try it.

A popular, meaty style fruit with a pungent smell but exotic taste.

The locals absolutely love it.

And, you can have it fried and crispy or in a buffet style. 

The market features an animal feeding corner where you can pet and feed small animals.

Great for animal lovers and small children. And, there is ample parking.

7. Chatuchak Weekend Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market is considered to be the largest flea market in Bangkok and Thailand.

The market is divided into 27 sections with 15,000 stalls and over 11,505 vendors.

This weekend market opens on Friday evening at 6 pm and stays open until midnight.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the market is open from 9 am to 6 pm. 

Here you will find a wide selection of plants, homeware, antiques, fresh and dry food, cosmetics, pets, furniture, electronics, ceramics, books, and home accessories.

Some of the must-visit stalls include the mango sticky rice stall, the coconut ice cream stall, and the meatball stall.  

The market is not too crowded and it’s fairly easy to communicate in English with most of the vendors.

Due to the sheer size of the market, you should plan to spend at least three to six hours browsing through the stalls. It’s truly unique with a great variety of items.

The prices are geared towards tourists though, and many of the items can be found much cheaper at other markets. 

Having said that, feel free to bargain with the vendors to get a better price on items. 

8. Greenway Night Market

Greenway Night Market is a vibrant, tented flea market found in  Songkhla, Thailand.

This night market is open six days a week from Tuesday through Sunday, from 4 pm to 10 pm. 

This night market is most popular among the younger crowds.

There are plenty of stalls selling very trendy clothing.

Some stalls sell clothes in bundles.

You can easily plan to spend a few hours if you would like to get to all the sections of the market.

There’s a live band, ample parking, and a food court. 

You can buy clothing, food, books, accessories, souvenirs, homeware, cookware, and just about anything in between from this market.

The market comes highly recommended for those that love street food.

The market itself is neat, well run, and organized.

If you love cosmetics and beauty products, then you may find the selection here quite satisfying. 

This is an excellent market to spend an evening with family and friends as there is a lot to see and do here. 

9. Mali Market

Mali Market is a night market in Pak Kret District, Thailand.

The market is open daily from 5 pm to midnight.

The market is exceptionally big with tented vendors and exceptionally neat and well-run.

Keep in mind that this market does not sell branded items but you will still find a great selection of high-quality products and food.

Vendors sell anything from sports shoes to fashion shoes, jewelry, houseplants, fresh produce, and freshly made street food, to cosmetics, beauty products, and children’s toys. 

There’s live music and food courts where visitors can sit back, relax, and enjoy an authentic Thai meal.

Plus, there’s a big television screen where visitors can watch the local soccer match. 

This is more than just a flea market.

It’s a venue where the whole family can be entertained.

It’s best to come over the weekend.

There’s even a theater.

There’s ample parking as well, but the parking isn’t free.

You pay around 10 Baht per car for the day.

The best part of this market is that the prices are very reasonable. 

10. Krabi Town Night Market

Krabi Town Night Market is a weekend night market in Pak Nam, Thailand that is open from Friday through Sunday, 6 pm to 11 pm.

The market features over 70 stalls and a good mix of locals and tourists. 

The best thing about this market, which is unlike most other, similar markets, is that the food selection is varied enough that you won’t feel like there is a lot of repetition.

It’s not as big as the other markets on the list but it does offer a great selection of clothing stalls, food stalls,  souvenir stalls, and a host of other merchandise. 

 The theme of this market is based on street food.

So, while you will find several other stalls selling merchandise, the bulk of the stalls do sell food.

The food prices are very inexpensive as well.
