If you want to save some money, there are always ways in which you can do so, this country is rich with all kinds of restaurants and types of food. Restaurants are relatively expensive in Klaipeda, though you can find some delicious food for a very low price. Generally, inexpensive restaurants cost around 6$ per person.
Prices are slowly rising on the rise in Klaipeda, but at least it offers a wide range of groceries from fresh fruits and veggies to a bunch of local ingredients which will make your meals delicious. People can eat reasonably well here, even if they don’t have enough money to buy ingredients and cook because Lithuania has state aid.
Well organized public transportation is one of the plus sides of living in Klaipeda and many other cities in Lithuania. Buses are usually on time and tickets aren’t expensive. Also, there is a cheap transportation fee if you are student. Monthly pass for public transport is cheap even if you aren’t one though.
Bills are of a reasonable pricing in Klaipeda. Internet is very fast in Klaipeda and unbelievably cheap, costing only 12$ a month.

Enjoying sports and staying fit – these are pleasures that aren’t as expensive in Klaipeda as they would be in many, many other cities around the world. Instead, a membership in a gym or a fitness club costs only around 39$ a month (bear in mind though that this is more expensive than being a member of a gym in Kaunas, for instance). Cinema tickets aren’t expensive either.
CLOTHING & SHOES
Shopping for clothing and shoes isn’t the cheapest thing to do in Klaipeda – and is on par with the more prosperous European cities as well. Jeans of good quality like Levi’s cost more than 80$ and that is definitely pricey, while quality running sneakers are approaching 90$. If anything, shopping in Klaipeda is even more expensive than in other cities of Lithuania.
